Oliver is a well-thought of advocate and litigator, who has considerable experience in defending those accused of serious offences.
Principally practicing in the Channel Courts and the Canterbury and Maidstone Crown Courts Oliver has dealt with all sorts of criminal cases, from low level Magistrates Court matters to Very High Cost Cases (VHCCs), homicides and very significant drug-smuggling cases. He has appeared as advocate in the Crown Court representing defendants facing allegations of rape, firearms offences, serious violence, and people-trafficking as well as more run-of-the-mill allegations.
He has also advised on appeals from the Crown Court and appeared in the Court of Criminal Appeal.
