Women in Law Pledge

The Law Society has recently launched its’ Women in Law Pledge in order to take on the issue of gender equality in the legal profession.

At Old Bailey Solicitors, two of our four Directors are women. Our practice manager is a woman. Our head of accounts is a woman. 50% of our staff as a whole are women. 30% of our fee earners take advantage of flexible working hours. Our policy is simple: We take on good people, focus on retention and encourage career development.

We are celebrating our 20th birthday on 1 September 2019. Three of our female staff members will also be celebrating 20 years with the firm on that date, having been with us since we first opened our doors for business almost two decades ago. If that doesn’t say something about our firm, we don’t know what does.

Old Bailey Solicitors wholeheartedly support the progression of women into senior roles within the profession and will undoubtedly be signing up to the pledge. We encourage others to do so, too.
