OBS client acquitted of historic rape

A client of Old Bailey Solicitors was today acquitted by a jury of an allegation of historic rape at Lewes Crown Court.

This case, involving a mentally unwell defendant, required significant care and attention from the solicitor with conduct, Jill Joyce

Old Bailey Solicitors also assisted the trial process by lending their video link facility to the court so that a witness could give her evidence from another jurisdiction.  Without that assistance, there was a risk that this important evidence may not have been heard by the jury.
